The main focus of the agenda for the afternoon session was Chief Deane’s progress report on the implementation of the Immigration Resolution. But the most anticipated aspect of the meeting was the face-to-face between Police Chief Charlie Deane and Chairman Corey Stewart, after Stewart and his allies in the blogosphere had attacked Deane and even called for his resignation: www.washingtonpost.com But first there was Citizens’ Time. We are sharing them to help provide much needed clarity after a period of confused and conflicting news reports, including the Washington Post headline of June 4th, saying PWC has “broadened citizenship checks,” compounded by an unfortunate photo caption that attributed Chairman Corey Stewart’s words to Police Chief Charlie Deane.
