Wie auch zum 5.schrieb dieses Mal Nicholas Hooper den Soundtrack für den 6. Harry Potter Film. Wieder einmal ist daraus ein meisterwerk geworden. Man hört zwar paralleln der Musik zum 5. Teil jedoch sind die Tracks diesmal (passen zur geschichte) sehr viel melodramatischer und düsterer. Episch wird es eigentlich erst am ende im Track “Journay to the cave”. Ansonsten ist dieser Soundtrack mit 28 Tracks der längste von allen Harry Potter Soundtracks.
